This Instant Pot Chili recipe is delicious and hearty, made with just 5 ingredient and comes together in 30 minutes right in your electric pressure cooker! Grab some ground beef, onion, Rotel tomatoes, chili beans in sauce (yes we include beans in our chili) and chili powder. We love to serve up warm bowls with a side of 5 ingredient cornbread.

Ingredients
Ground Beef- I recommend using an 85/15 ground beef. It will have enough fat to be flavorful but not so much that your chili will be grease, like with an 80/20 ground beef.
Onion- A white or yellow onion is perfect for your chili.
Rotel Tomatoes- you get a two-fer with Rotel tomatoes; diced tomatoes and green chilies. You will find Rotel tomatoes with the other diced tomatoes.

Chili Beans in Sauce- Yep, we use beans! Make sure you buy the chili beans that have sauce, and do not drain the sauce. It flavors the chili and makes it thick. We love Brook’s Chili Beans when we can find them. I always buy mild, but I believe you can buy spicy if you like a kick of heat.
Chili Powder- This is the essential part of American Chili. It gives chili it’s distinct flavor.
Instant Pot
An Instant Pot is actually a brand name for an electric pressure cooker. If you have a different brand that will work as well. We love the Instant Pot so much that we have two! Here are the two that we have:

I actually like the 7-in1 Instant Pot a little better because it was a little less expensive since it doesn’t have 9 functions. Honestly I really don’t use all 9 functions; like the egg, sterilize or porridge.
